Аннотация: This work analysed the influence of socio-demographic characteristics and perceived organizational support on employee deviant work behaviour in private security outfits in Osun State, Nigeria. The study employed Ex post facto research design. The population for this work consists of all security outfits employees in Osun state university (Osogbo and Okuku campuses) security personnel. The instrument used for the study was a structured questionnaire. A total of 120 respondents were selected for the study using simple random sampling technique. The major scales used for data collection included Organisational Support Scale and Employee Deviant Work Behaviours Scale. The statistical package for social science (SPSS) was employed to analyse the data collected for the study and the statistical test of t-test for independent measures was used to test the stated hypotheses. The findings revealed that perceived organisational support significantly influenced employee deviant work behaviours among security outfit employees [t (118) = -6.43, p<.05]. The results revealed further that gender significantly influenced deviant work behaviours among private security outfit employees [t (118) = 3.
