Аннотация: The present investigation was undertaken to study management of black gram(Vigna mungo L. Hepper) anthracnose disease [Colletotrichum lindemuthianum (Sacc.& Magnus) Briosi & Cavara] which is quite destructive in all the black gram growing areas. The seed yield in protected plots with carbendazim 25% + mancozeb 50%WS over unprotected plots was 1162 kg/ha and avoidable yield loss of 48.19 percent. The fungicide carbendazim 25% + mancozeb 50% WS at 0.15 per cent has proved to be the most effective in controlling the disease in field condition for two seasons with higher yield. In correlation study of 2019, maximum temperature and wind velocity were found non significant while minimum temperature was significant with negative impact whereas morning and evening relative humidity were found positively significant in the year 2020.Among twenty five varieties/genotypes screened for disease resistance, two varieties/genotypes were found resistant, eight were found moderately resistant, thirteen were moderately susceptible and two were susceptible against anthracnose.
