Аннотация: In the present era, there is a growing interest in achieving high efficiency and an optimal strength-to-weight ratio, which is primarily fulfilled by utilizing Stiffened plates. These structural elements consist of plates that are strengthened through the addition of stiffeners, a set of bars, or ribs placed on one or both sides of the plate. Stiffened plates are composed of plate components, which typically bear the applied loads, and beam components positioned discretely in one or both directions.This Book focuses on the finite element analysis of stiffened plates using various materials. The investigation includes both the structural and modal analysis of stiffened plates constructed from steel, unidirectional composite material as a single ply, and laminated composite material comprising 5 plies. The finite element analysis employs the FEM Solver Optistruct, which is integrated into HyperMesh. The objective of the analysis is to optimize the results in order to align the stiffness and natural frequencies of the stiffened plates with those of steel, allowing for potential substitution.
