Mass Tourism and World Heritage. An Empirical Study on Sun Temple at Konark

      Аннотация: Mass Tourism has its broad scope for sustainable economy, culture and environment. This book deals with mass tourism and its role towards the economy growth of the community, sustainability and cultural heritage which indirectly leads to the growth of environmental sustainability. Here the authors have taken an attempt to find out issues and challenges associated with mass tourism which are examined at Konark Sun temple as a case analysis. This book elaborates the conceptual framework of the mass tourism with its various concepts and describes the history of mass tourism with mass tourism package on available tourism industry. Here the authors tried to elaborate the conservational perspective of heritages and to provide clear picture on environmental aspects of the heritage site. Furthermore, a number of initiatives have been suggested for the conservation with tools and measures and also guidelines for safety and harmonious experience of tourist with local community. This book explains the cultural heritage and other heritage sites with various motivational aspects for growth of both mass and class tourism.
