Аннотация: The study aimed to investigate the impact of border posts congestion in movement of construction equipment focusing on the five main border posts in Zimbabwe. Delays in the movement of goods, particularly construction machinery, have led to serious problems including postponements, cost arguments, arbitration, court cases, cost overruns and loss of customers. The aim of this study was to examine the causes of delays in the movement of construction machinery at border crossings, to determine the impact of delays in the movement of construction machinery on construction companies and to investigate ways to reduce delays in the movement of construction machinery at border crossings. Information on the causes of traffic jams and possible solutions to the problem was obtained by means of a questionnaire. It was also used to collect data from the construction site to gather information on how congestion at border crossings affects construction activity. Content analysis was used to analyse the data using Nvivo software and quantitative data was entered using Excel to find data for presentation.
