He is the maternal grandfather of Jasamin who lives in NYC, who has met closely with Elish and Carelle. Elish and Carelle attend classes at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, and at the request of the Iranian student underground go into a safehouse in Tehran, and within a matter of weeks are seeing combat in the democratic Shi'ite counter-revolution in Tehran, which is successful.
