Аннотация: The transfer of technology (TT) is central to modern economic discourse because of its implications for economic growth and the long-run convergence of incomes. In this dissertation, the challenge is to investigate questions of the channels and the key success factors of technology transfer, and also to analyze the effect of the technology transfer process and its channels which are conditioned by the interaction with the absorption capacity (AC).In the empirical frameworks, we have focused our case study on samples concerning eight East Asian countries over the period 1990-2012. Our research has revealed the following results: first, the Absorption Capacity is considered as a determinant facilitator of the technology transfer, which positively spurs the technology transfer channels. Second, in order to achieve this, these countries must have a minimum level of Absorption Capacity to stimulate the process of technology transfer. Finally, the results have also revealed the importance of the policies applied by the governmental institutions supporting the transfer in question.
