Аннотация: The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a country with continental dimensions, encounters several problems which do not facilitate the organization of its health system. The health system is still deficient in several aspects. The regulation of health sector although existing is only weakly applied. To this is added corruption, absence of coercive measures, inexistence or inadequacy and non-application of texts regulating the health sector. In such a context, it seems more than appropriate to question ourselves about the rational use of drugs and the quality of medical prescriptions circulating in DRC in general and in Kinshasa in particular.Medical prescription with necessary information is essential to provide effective health care to the patient. Several studies have shown that prescription errors remain common worldwide particularly in low-income countries such as Democratic Republic of Congo, leading to irrational drug use. The irrational use of drugs is a very widespread practice throughout the world and particularly in developing countries.
Ключевые слова: Effective health care, completeness of prescriptions, WHO/INRUD prescription indicators, Self-medication, drug misuse, antimicribial resistance, Southeast Kinshasa, Kinshasa/Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
