These are frustrating years, not least for elderly individuals. They acknowledge that many of their ideas, ambitions, goals, and hopes will never come true and that they have passed their prime in terms of productivity. It is regrettable that the majority of essential dental and medical services are typically required for elderly patients at a time when they are least able to endure and pay for them. Due to the psychological aspects that are usually involved, the dental issues that older patients with prosthodontic clinics present with vary. The psychological aspect of a dental issue in an elderly patient should be understood by the practitioner because it constantly influences the treatment plan and decision-making process. This essay aims to cover these psychological elements and critically examine how they affect the treatment strategy for dentistry.
