Аннотация: The subject of this research is the job satisfaction of nurses working in the Emergency and Intensive Care services of the ULS, Nordeste, essentially because of the scientific evidence which considers that professional satisfaction also boosts user satisfaction, the quality of care and the efficient use of resources, from a cost-benefit perspective. This is an observational, analytical and cross-sectional study of a quantitative nature, with a structured questionnaire applied to a population of 96 nurses. The sample showed low levels of job satisfaction, which shows the need to promote improvements in human resource management, boosting productivity and the performance levels of professionals by focusing on improving the factors that can interfere with their job satisfaction and consequently promote an increase in the quality of care provided.
