The economics of health care in a large city. Improvement of organizational, legal, and economic mechanisms of health care in large Russian cities

      Аннотация: The monograph is devoted to the problems of health care management in large Russian cities under the changing organizational and economic conditions of functioning of this system. It assesses the relationship and interdependence of public health and health care with the economic development of cities, regions and the country as a whole. The processes of health care reforming are considered in the work in dialectical connection with the processes of local self-government reforming, and the problem to be solved is formulated as increasing the economic efficiency of the mechanism of municipal health care management in the conditions of market-oriented socially-oriented economy. The methodological approaches to the estimation of the effectiveness of the public health activity and the methods of determining the complex effectiveness of the activity of both individual medical institutions and the industry as a whole have been proposed. The results of realization of the organizational-economic model that has allowed to improve the provision of medical care to the population of Krasnoyarsk are presented.
