Аннотация: The controlled release systems have captured the attention of many researchers due to their properties and functions that they may have in complex clinical treatments. Therefore, through different studies their applicability in formulations based on controlled release has been demonstrated. In the field of anesthesia and intensive care they have gained attention because of several characteristics that distinguish them from the conventional treatments. Among this we mention bioavailability, biodegradability, low toxicity and not least the increased capacity of biofunctionalization in accordance with the therapeutic needs. In the current clinical practice are numerous pharmaceutical formulation used in the treatment of oncology patients and others. Regarding their use in anesthesia and intensive care, there are a number of systems used in the preparation of regional anesthesia, pain management and antimicrobial therapy. However, the controlled release systems are in continuous development, there are many studies regarding their optimization in relation to the patient needs.

Macro and Micro Forms of Thermosensitive Hydrogels. Development, Characterization and Controlled Drug Release.
2013 г.,  332 стр.,  мягкий переплет
This book reports on a study in the macro and micro forms of thermosensitive hydrogels based on poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) that are intended for use in textile-based applications in a controlled release of drugs via a transdermal route. A synthetic polymer PNIPAAm was combined in both the linear and crosslinked form with a natural...
