Аннотация: India is an agricultural dependent country, as still, more than 55% population depends upon it for their livelihood. But, most of the farmers are very poor due to the low income from agriculture. To enhance the income from agriculture, it is essential to increase productivity or to bring more land under cultivation, which is limited. Mechanization of field operations is one way to increase productivity as agricultural machinery and implements are capable of doing field operations with precision and in lesser time. Judicious management of all the inputs is essential to increase production, profitability and the sustainability of such a complex system. Thus, the precise application of inputs and agricultural operations are needed. Apart from these, Indian agriculture is facing challenges of ever-increasing population and day by day shortage of agricultural labor. Thus, the time has now arrived to exploit all the modern tools available and agricultural science together to improve economic and environmentally sustainable crop production.
