Аннотация: The book presents a historical perspective on advancements in English as a Second Language Learning Theories parallel to the development of technology for the same. It gives an overview of the development of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) to facilitate language learning theories from time to time. It also shows the development of the language laboratories to their present status along with scope and limitations of Digital English Language Laboratories in developing countries like India.
