The book is designed to make the learners appreciate the process of measurement and evaluation in education, which includes the measurement of knowledge, abilities, attitudes, and personality traits. The book is divided into chapters that address specific concepts of educational measurement and evaluation. Basically, it takes you through the meanings of test, measurement assessment and evaluation in education and their functions.This book highlights, theories of measurements, principles and techniques of evaluations, instructional objectives, types of tests, the construction and validation of tests, test administration, scoring and interpretation, item analysis scaling and grading. The course intents to provide the learner with diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic techniques that will be needed during teaching and learning process.
