      Аннотация: Probiotics are live organisms that are similar to beneficial microorganisms found in the human gut. They are also called as friendly bacteria. Probiotics have been used for centuries as natural components in health-promoting food. They have been widely used in the field of medicine. As far as dentistry is concerned, they have been tried against dental caries, periodontal disease, oral candidiasis and oro-pharyngeal infections. Most commonly used strains are Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.
